Marchetti Wines
Made In the tradition of the Old World
Desert Wine

Another of this winemaker’s personal
favorites, the 2003 Zinfandel is from Old Vines
meaning they are at least 50 years old.  It is
very dark, rich, full-bodied with lots of velvety
fruit and flavors.  It is racy, audacious, loud
and full-bodied as only an Old Vine wine can
be, chewy to the point of nearly needing a
knife and fork!  The origins of this grape are
misty, but DNA profiling has identified
Zinfandel as a clone of the Croatian variety
Crijenak and the genetic twin of the Italian
Primitivo.  If you’ve never had an Old Vine
wine, this is truly an experience!
